Steelseries Arctis 3

Steelseries Arctis 3 Gaming Headphone Full Review

We tested different headphones for an excellent gaming sound experience before choosing the SteelSeries Arctis 3. We previously tested the SteelSeries Arctis 1 and had a very excellent sound  performance.  The Arctis 3 Gaming Headphones come in two colour options: black and white, with the white being our favourite. That is why we tested the Arctis 3’s white colour. The Arctis 3 Gaming Headphones include a 40mm neodymium speaker that gives superb sound performance and an in-built microphone so you can communicate with your teammates.

SteelSeries Arctis 3 Gaming Headphones cost Rs.6999, which is a little expensive, but they have certain drawbacks in this price range, but if you want to use them for a long time, then the Arctis 3 is a very nice gaming headphone for you.

Steelseries Arctis 3 : Design & Comfort

The Arctis 3 is mainly made of plastic. The ear cups include metal hinges, and the suspension headband is held in place by metal hooks. A ski goggle-style strap lies on top of your head, softly supporting the weight of the headset. When combined with the exquisite earpiece design, the Arctis 3 is one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve ever used. You’ll enjoy it if you’re looking for a long gaming session.

Steelseries names the ear pads “AirWeave” cushions since they are composed of athletic jersey fabric. They’re lightweight, and the foam beneath them is quite soft. They never become hot, and while they aren’t the most isolating, they still do a good job of isolating. If you want something more conventional, Steelseries now sells leatherette and velour ear pillows. But I’m not sure why you’d ever need it. The ones that are featured are excellent.

The cool headband shape and lightweight provide outstanding comfort. Because the Arctis 3 has the smallest force of the three models, I prefer to keep the headband tighter. I wish the clamping force was a little stronger, but it’s plenty for keeping them on your head.

Steelseries Arctis 3 : Sound Quality

Steelseries Arctis 3 employs 40mm S1 speakers, which are exclusively found in high-end headsets (such as Steelseries flagship headsets Siberian 800 and 840), and have a frequency response range of 20-20000 MHz, a total harmonic distortion of 3%, sensitivity of 98dB, and impedance of 32 ohms.

The S1 speaker unit’s bass flexibility is excellent, its midrange is broad, its highs are soft and not fractured, and its overall sound field is expansive. Such sound details are extremely beneficial to FPS gamers, as they allow them to easily differentiate the position and distance of opponents footsteps and gunshots.

The sound is well-balanced, natural, and just a little loud. This means that the higher treble sounds will stand out more than the deep bass tones… However, everything is present and well-represented. If you enjoy booming bass, it will take a few days for your brain to acclimate to this sound characteristic, but you will be rewarded with precision and clarity that is unrivalled for the price. These have a better sound than classic studio headphones like the Sony MDR-V6. They’re simply that fantastic.

Steelseries Arctis 3 : Mic Quality

When communicating with teammates, the ClearCast microphone only swiftly captures voices from the mouth. Because of the radio’s relatively short range, it has a natural cancelling effect and does not require any additional noise-canceling software. When not in use, the detachable MIC may be placed inside the ear cups.

Moreover, the transmitting microphone has captured and reproduced a large frequency range, the majority of which is high frequency. This frequency range makes the sound more genuine, bringing the MIC’s high-frequency response closer to the transmitting microphone.

Pros

  • Good sound quality.
  • The microphone performs excellently.
  • Premium build quality.
  • Comfortable fit.
  • Value for money.
  • Multi-platform Compatible

Cons

  • No RGB Lights

Conclusion

The SteelSeries Arctis 3 Gaming Headphones are compatible with a wide range of devices, including PCs, smartphones, and gaming consoles. Customers have loved the Arctis 3, and we receive a two-year warranty with this gaming headphone, so you won’t have to buy any other headphones for two years. Arctis 3 now has a 4.3 star rating on Amazon, indicating that it is well liked.
